This elegant-looking fort stands on a 76 m high ‘Trikuta Hill’. Apart from the palaces and temples, there is a small township and bazaar in the fort. It is a unique experience to see households living in the fort and shops conducting their daily trade. Cars have to be parked near the main entrance whereas auto-rickshaws (tuktuks) can go until the main courtyard. The fort is enclosed within 9 km long wall bolstered with 99 bastions.
