While there are quite a few trekking options around Dalhousie, the one to Dainkund Peak is the most scenic. And it also doesn’t take much time, 30-40 min one way is what a normal person takes. The base of Dainkund is a short drive away from Dalhousie town. It takes a moderate trek to reach the summit. On the path, there are a few stairs and a couple of inclinations but the major part of the trek is on a flat path. The slopes on both the sides of the path are splendid. At the top, there is a temple dedicated to a Goddess. While you will be able to cherish the views of distant groves, the path itself is unshaded. But Dalhousie is never so hot. If you are there in the spring months, you’ll be gifted with the ravishing sight of the slopes carpeted with wild daisies. Check out the pictures:
