Billing is a small settlement in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley. A narrow winding road from Bir, near Palampur, ascends to Billing; this road continues further to Bara Bhangal Pass. Billing is the most popular hang-gliding destination in India. Apart from the fall for hang-gliding, Billing also offers splendid views of peaks of Dhauladhar Mountains. The flyers, who take off from here, land in the paddy fields of Bir which is right below in the valley. Billing is 44 km from Palampur and is 14 km uphill from Bir.
